His notable contributions aside from his 16 studio albums, include songs for the films Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron and Pretty Woman: The Musical.

In 2024, Adams became an independent artist and launched his own label, BadRecords. Since then, he has released two three-album box sets capturing performances from his residencies at London’s The Royal Albert Hall, totaling six albums in just two years.
